Experiencing a miscarriage or the death of a newborn is a sad and difficult event. You may feel a loss of joy and hope. The Mary G. Schuman Miscarriage and Newborn Loss Support Group is for mothers, fathers, relatives, and friends- anyone affected by a miscarriage, stillbirth, early infant death, or other perinatal loss.
For 29 years, we have provided a setting where you can share your experiences, give and receive support, and learn to cope with your feelings about your loss. You may share with the group or not, as you wish. Information shared at group meetings is private and confidential.
Our group facilitators have training and personal experience with perinatal loss.
We also offer reading recommendations and a lending library, memorial service, referrals to professionals and clergy, and community education and in-service trainings.
